Need to capture only a few document variables and don't need to save the variable-to-value pairings for future documents. This is a 'down and dirty' alternative to the Instant Database routine.
To add an <<*AskVariable*. . .>> element, simply append the variable name to the command. Close with a "*".
E.g.,
<<*AskVariable*[Client Name]*>> or
<<*AskVariable*[Name of LLC]*>>
When the document is processed, Pathagoras will present the variable name above a text box in the Interview screen along with other AskTable questions. Fill in the desired value.
The <<*AskVariable* command is not a good substitute for the Instant Database. It was added for those situations where you have just a few variables to replace in a document and you don't want/need to save the values you assign for future use. But used in the proper situation, it will save the additional step of having to scan for and replace variables in the final product. .
