Pathagoras (like every other program on the market) requires a specific syntax when you want it to perform a specific task. Stray from the syntax and Pathagoras may not know want you want it to do.

To make document authoring significantly easier, we provide an easy to install DropDown List containing an organized collection of sample text and snippets. This list serves a two-fold purpose:

it provides the proper syntax for the command you are seeking.

it provides reminders, as you are perusing the items in the list, of the various tools that are available.

To create the 'Samples' DropDown List, click on the lower half of the Pathagoras Features button. Click 'DropDown Lists' and then choose "Create 'Samples' DDL". Follow the prompts to add the List to the current collection.

Because the Samples are loaded into a DropDown List, the listing is always on and always available. The samples you want are just a point and a click away.

In addition to "DropDown - Click In" the desired sample, you can recall many samples from the Samples Glossary by simply typing the topic you had in mind. In many cases you will hit a proper term. (This is not by coincidence-- we worked hard to anticipate those calls.) For example, if you want to see how Pathagoras handles pronouns, just type 'pronouns' to the screen and up will pop one or more samples of how to set up 'pronouns.'

You can print out a complete list of samples samples in the Samples Glossary by typing Samples<Alt-G> and then select 'Print List.'
