New in v. 2024
When you are testing a document just to make sure it works, you may not wish to be burdened with completing the Instant Database screen with real (or even fake) values. You can ask Pathagoras to fill in the 'blanks' for you with its random value generator. Just click Power Tools.
Then, click the Random Fill button. Pathagoras will insert random sets of text in the formerly blank 'Replace with' column:
Notes:
Sometimes the proposed value will be quite humorous, and hopefully not insulting. There is no filter.
Pathagoras will generate a random date when the adjacent variable appears to be a dates. It will generate a random (small) number for variables that appear to call for a numerical answer. (We just analyze the names given to the variable and make our best educated guess as to what is being requested. If you think there are other 'hints' in your variables that should lead to a number or a date that we missed, let us know.)
Purely random assignments discussed above may not satisfy your testing needs. If certain variables need to be more 'real' or 'accurate' even for testing purposes, not a problem. You can easily write over the assigned value before clicking Next.
