If, at installation, you get the message to the effect of "A valid copy of Word does not Exist on this computer," there are 3 possibilities:

     A. That statement is in fact true. Make sure that you are not running a pirated version of Word. That is a real 'no-no.'

     B. If you know your copy is valid, you can still install Pathagoras. When the installer 'determines' the 'no valid copy' condition, it realizes it might be wrong and will ask you to navigate to the valid copy of Word (called Winword.exe). When that dialog displays, perform the requested task, highlight Winword.exe in the proper folder and press 'Open' (or double click). (This won't actually open Word. Rather it just registers the location and checks for the presence of other files and settings indicating a valid install. If it finds them, the install continues.

 Office 2016/365

     C. You may have installed the 'Click to Run' or Cloud only version of Word. This is a 'half' installation of Word, omitting the VBA (and other) components essential for Pathagoras to operate.

You should reinstall the Word program to what is called an MSI installation. Follow the steps outlined here.  (The link appears to take you to an Excel site, but it is the same information you need for Word):
