How about Office 365 for Mac?

Sorry, but no. It is your local copy of Office determines whether Pathagoras can run, and the VBA coding in Office for Mac is (still) insufficient to allow Pathagoras to operate there.

Here is more: Office 365 for Mac is a two part program (as it is for Office 365 for PCs).

  •  The ‘cloud’ part is similar to Google Docs.  Itallows some light editing of any document stored locally or in the cloud (regardless of source) using any computer.
  • The ‘local’ part is where the ‘power’ is. It is the local part that allows Pathagoras to operate because only the local part contains VBA (Word’s macro language) from which Pathagoras derives its capabilities. VBA sits alongside of the local copy of winword.exe. Microsoft has not enabled VBA to run in a cloud setting. (That is because Microsoft cannot afford to make the kind of resourses that VBA requires constantly available to every cloud user.  While VBA is also present in Macs, the VBA code for Mac is sufficiently different from VBA for PC that Pathagoras (still) cannot run in the Mac setting.
